❌ | Verstappen Disagrees With Horner’s Past Comments: ‘I Refuse To Believe So’ ❓ | What do you think might be the cause for the fact that Red Bull lost so much ground to their rivals in recent races? 🤔

Max Verstappen countered the previous statements of Red Bull’s team principal, Christian Horner, who suggested the law of diminishing returns would hit Red Bull due to their big head start.

The Red Bull Racing F1 team managed to come up with the best concept for the car when the new regulations were introduced in 2022.

That year, the team from Milton Keynes broke away from their only contender- Ferrari, and in 2023, Red Bull recorded the most dominant season in the history of F1.

Throughout this whole time, the Austrian team principal, Christian Horner, said that due to their huge headstart, Red Bull was destined to reach the point where the law of diminishing returns would start biting them.

After the super strong start to 2024, when Red Bull scored three 1-2 finishes in the first four races, it seemed that Horner’s prediction wouldn’t be fulfilled so soon.

However, in the following races, all three of the remaining top four teams made incredible progress and caught up. Are we finally seeing the law of diminishing returns that the team principal was talking about? When Max Verstappen was presented with his team principal’s rhetoric, he said

“I refuse to believe so, because then you just get lazy.”

“I am confident that everyone within the factory, they are always pushing flat out to try and bring bits of performance to the car, but there are a lot of smart people in other teams that are also doing the same thing.”

What is currently not helping Red Bull are the regulations based on which the Austrian team has less time for testing in the wind tunnel than any other team on the grid due to the finishing order from the previous season.

The triple World Champion admits that it might be affecting his team. However, he still suggests that there is nothing Red Bull can do about it, so they just have to deal with it.

“Naturally, it will always help to have more time, but that’s how the rules are, right? To try to slow down the winning team.”

“When you are the ones chasing, you are happy when it is like that, and when you are the ones leading and being caught up during the season, you look at it like it is not what you want. But that’s how the rules are written; everyone agrees with it, and you just have to deal with it.”
