The Mercedes boss stated that he hadn’t actually heard Christian Horner comments himself, highlighting that they were not worth paying attention to. Wolff said he didn’t think Horner’s idea that Jos Verstappen would be bad for Mercedes made sense. Instead, he hinted that the senior Verstappen could actually be good for the team and potentially bring values with him.

By improving speed and performance, the 52-year-old hinted at becoming an appealing team for drivers like Verstappen in the future.
The important thing is that we look at our performance. If we have a fast car, then fast drivers want to drive with us. We have to improve, because then we will also be a good destination for Max Verstappen.
