Sergio Perez claims he expects himself to perform at his best in 2024

Despite it being his last season at Red Bull Sergio Perez feels confident going into 2024.

Mexican driver Sergio Perez is hoping to have a great 2024 season, which will be his fourth and potentially last year with Red Bull. Perez despite being slower than his teammate Max Verstappen has produced some solid performance as a wingman. But in 2023, he was outperformed by the Dutchman by miles.

Sergio Perez claims he expects himself to perform at his best in 2024

Perez was unable to moderate his most optimistic expectations for several events, even though his 2023 car was often the fastest one on the grid. He was heavily criticized the previous season for having a poor mid-season plan. Perez has learned a great deal from the errors committed in past seasons. He now has hopes to have his best season ever with Red Bull in 2024.

I feel fully fresh, and obviously, with the learning of last year, it's very important that we will learn what went wrong and learn from our mistakes. I think we understood a lot of things.I think it's my fourth year with Red Bull and I do expect to be at my best for this year. To maximise every single opportunity to get a really strong base early on, and just be able to carry that through the whole season and be able to develop through the season.

If Perez hopes to have a Red Bull seat in 2025, he will have to prove himself, and that won’t be simple given that Daniel Ricciardo is already an option. He believes that in the upcoming season, he will seize every opportunity and make the most out of every Grand Prix. His sole focus will be on performing the best.

Sergio Perez highlights Red Bull’s bravery with the new car design

Red Bull unveiled its 2024 challenger, which has daring design cues, especially in the engine cover area and side pod. The team, taking cues from Mercedes, has gulleys extending from the engine cover’s top to the halo. Perez has described the RB20 as a novel idea. He praised Red Bull for its aggressiveness with its new RB20 car.

Ah, yes. A bit.But at the same time, it just shows how much this team is looking to move forward and pushing all the boundaries. It’s really great to see. It just shows the hunger that there is in this team. You know, we had such a dominant car last year that you wouldn’t imagine us changing the concept as much, and I think it’s really brave from Red Bull to do that.

Perez pointed out that even though previous seasons’ RB19 was efficient, there is one area that has improved in the upcoming challenger. He stated that their low speed is looking better but they would not know until they hit the track.
