Taylor-Demerson, who is commonly referred to as “Rabbit,” spent five seasons (2019-23) at Texas Tech, playing 50 games. With the Red Raiders, the Oklahoma City native accumulated 224 tackles, 10 interceptions and two sacks.
After stacking up 73 tackles, four interceptions, a sack and blocking 12 passes last year, the 23-year-old declared for the NFL Draft. The 5-foot-10 Taylor-Demerson received 2023 second-team All-SEC honors after his big season.
Taylor-Demerson will likely find himself as a backup to Jalen Thompson and Budda Baker, who is on the last season of his contract, in Arizona’s safety room.
The Cardinals have now signed 11 of their 12 rookies, which means only third-round running back Trey Benson has yet to sign.
