Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton shared his experience driving with F1 movie star Brad Pitt. He stated that he is a “good” non-racing driver and has the potential to race in real life.
Brad Pitt, who is worth $400 million, is known for his remarkable performances in films. While he has acted in multiple genres and is a versatile actor, Hamilton feels he could have also been a racer.
Hamilton recently revealed in an interview with Esquire that he went out with Pitt on a track in Los Angeles. The latter was behind the steering wheel, which allowed Hamilton to assess his driving. The seven-time world champion said about Pitt’s ability behind the wheel:
“We went to a track in L.A. I took him out and sat in the passenger seat, and he drove. I used to be a driving coach when I was younger. It was a way of making some money part time whilst I was racing.”
“So I’ve sat with God knows how many non-racing drivers. You can tell immediately the good ones, the bad ones. Straight away he was on it. You could tell he has it. He has it in his DNA. He’s just not been able to hone in on it like we have. But he’s got big potential,” he concluded.
Brad Pitt is set to star in F1, the Formula 1 film directed by Joseph Kosinski. It is expected to be released later in 2025. Hamilton is also a part of the production team and has reportedly helped with the script.
