Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes F1 driver, has not got off to the best of starts during the ongoing 2024 season. He has been struggling to get on top of the W15 but amidst this, he has admitted that he wants to do as well as possible with Mercedes this year.

Lewis Hamilton has been driving for the Brackley-based team since 2013. He has a strong connection with the team and thus, is willing to fight tooth and nail for them, despite not having the best of cars underneath him this year.

Hamilton will move to the Ferrari F1 team at the end of this year.

I’m gonna lift Mercedes as high as I can this year. The way that I exist, I don’t look at it as on the way out. My commitment to the team is exactly the same as previous years: I want to kill every other team. We want to beat them. My approach remains the same, right till the end. And can’t let too much of my mind be distracted by what’s afterwards.

The 39-year-old has made it crystal clear that he will give his 100% for the Toto Wolff-led outfit this year. Hamilton wants to beat every other driver in the W15 and that this approach, will remain the same from his end for the remainder of the 2024 campaign.

The ongoing campaign is only three races down and has still got a total of 21 events remaining on the calendar. Seeing the long duration, Hamilton has put in the work during the winter break and thus, feels fully prepared.

Hamilton has been making his trade at the pinnacle of motor racing since 2007. He is an absolute legend of the sport but considering how much he has struggled in getting to grips with the lackluster W15, it will be fascinating to see how he will approach the race weekends from the upcoming Japanese GP onwards. Mercedes is currently in fourth place in the Constructors Championship with only 26 points.
