Hamilton Grateful For Mercedes

While speaking to GPFans and other media after the Belgian Grand Prix told how he was proud of the work he and his team were doing to help Mercedes get back to their dominant ways and helping them navigate through this difficult time.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the people that I work with and this team, and I couldn’t be more grateful to Mercedes. Mercedes have changed my life, supported me since I was 13 years of age, given me a chance to be a Formula 1 driver for them and putting their faith behind me all these years so it’s been amazing. We’ve gone through difficult times but always came out with our heads high and stayed true to our values. For us to have now gone through this difficult phase to slowly building back up to fight for wins is a great feeling, and I’m proud of the work George and I are doing. I’m really excited about the next few months we have ahead of us,” said Hamilton after his win at the Belgian Grand Prix.

The Season So Far

Ever since after the 2021 season, Mercedes have lost a lot of form and their dominance on the sport has ended with Red Bull and Max Verstappen taking their place. Mercedes started the 2024 season also on a low note but have managed to do some good work with their car which has put them into the fight with the other top teams.

So far this season Mercedes have won three races with George Russel winning one and Lewis winning the other two. As the mid-season break is about to end it will be exciting to watch whether Mercedes continue their recently gained form as they head into the final 10 races for Lewis Hamilton in their car.
