Christian Horner, the Red Bull team principal, has found himself in extremely hot waters in recent times. He has the inappropriate behavior investigation hanging over his head and while the 2024 season is just two weeks away, he has taken the time to talk about Red Bull’s CTO, Adrian Newey‘s prospects.
In recent times, rumors have been swirling about Adrian Newey potentially leaving Red Bull in case Christian Horner gets axed following the completion of the ongoing investigation. The latter was recently asked about it and to everyone’s surprise, he gave a very diplomatic answer.
Look I'm not gonna discuss the ins and outs of individual contracts. We have a great team, we have great strength in depth. Adrian has been here a long time, as I have, but there are also many others that play a key, key role so yeah, not gonna talk about contractual details of employees of the team.
Looking at the reaction of the 50-year-old, it is quite clear that he has tried his best to dodge answering the Adrian Newey question. At the moment, there are a lot of unknowns regarding the inappropriate behavior investigation, and thus, Horner wants to keep all his cards close to his chest.

While various kinds of rumors have been coming out of the rumor mill regarding Christian Horner’s inappropriate behavior investigation, he and Adrian Newey have been with Red Bull for a long time. Moreover, much credit for the Austrian outfit’s F1 success goes to both of them.
From Sebastian Vettel‘s dominant Red Bull era (2010-2013) to Max Verstappen‘s ongoing grip over the sport, Horner and Newey have played a major role. One cannot forget, that the mighty RB20 was the product of the latter’s adept know-how of the sport.
