Travis Kelce shares first look at TV show host debut as release date confirmed

NFL star Travis Kelce posed in the first look at his upcoming TV hosting debut as the release date for the 20-episode celebrity spin-off show has been confirmed

The date for Travis Kelce’s upcoming television show has been confirmed after the NFL star posed for the promotional post announcing its release date.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is set to make his hosting debut later this year on Prime Video and the 34-year-old looks a natural. Kelce posed in a blue suit and a white t-shirt while wearing white sneakers in the promo for the new show he is hosting called: ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?’ which first airs on October 16.

The show is a 20-episode celebrity spin-off of the hit show ‘Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?,’ and will be premiered on Prime Video in more than 240 countries worldwide. Each episode will welcome an adult contestant into a classroom full of celebrities to help them answer 11 questions on a range of topics from elementary curriculum in a bid to win the $100,000 top prize.

The contestant won’t compete against the celebrities, instead they will use their help in an attempt to reach the final question. If they make it there, the contestant will select one celebrity to discuss the answer to a 6th-grade question before locking in their selection for the $100,000 prize.

Kelce will host all of the 20 episodes with him no stranger to jumping in front of the camera in the entertainment business. The Chiefs star hosts his chart-topping podcast ‘New Heights’ alongside his brother Jason Kelce which they have collaborated in since September 2022.

The three-time Super Bowl champion previously took to the stage in the iconic NBC show ‘Saturday Night Live’ in March 2023. His relationship with pop star Taylor Swift has also propelled him into the spotlight. Fans of Swift quipped in the comments section under the post: “If you know Aristotle, maybe…”, joking about a line of Swift’s song ‘So High School’ which has been suggested to have been written about Kelce.

Kelce made his stage debut as he bounced on stage during one of Swift’s shows in London, playing a theatrical role in her performance. He’s also hosted a sold-out music festival ‘KelceJam’ where over 17,000 people attended and major headlines performed, including Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and Diplo.

“I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” Kelce said of the upcoming release of the TV show.

“The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining. I’m just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up.”
